Planning your first visit.

What can I expect on my first visit?

You can’t miss our growing church off of Gross Road in Mesquite. As you approach the main church building through the front door entrance, one of our adult church members will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer any questions you may have.

Our Sunday school begins at 9:45 am. Each class is structured to meet your personal needs. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy fellowship, and hear a lesson more directly applicable to your life. The best way to get to know people at Parkside Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult Bible classes. After Sunday school, in our main auditorium, you will enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from our preacher, Dr. Wells. This service is a little over one hour in length.

Where do I take my children?

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children four years old and under. For infants, our nursery attendants will assist you in checking in your baby and easily contact you if there is a need. For children five through eleven years old there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

Our church property is rather large, which to a guest can seem overwhelming at first. It’s not as complicated as it looks, and we would like to help you find the appropriate nurseries, classes and services for every person in your family. Our greeters and ushers are located around the property as well as in the lobby of the church building and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place. You can personally see in what room your child’s class will be and meet their teacher.

What about my teens?

Our student ministries are broken down into classes by grades. They assemble in our Youth Center for Sunday school and then split into their individual classes. Most of the teens attend a class for one hour and then the church service for another hour with their parents.

Who is Pastor Mike Wells?

Dr. Mike Wells is the senior Pastor of Parkside Baptist Church. He is also the president of Lone Star Baptist College, which is a ministry of Parkside Baptist Church. You can read more about him here.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Parkside Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
